Terms of Service
Last updated: 5 September 2026
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of Synctillate — the admin portal, the guard mobile app, and related services (together, the "Service") — provided by Synctillate ("we", "us"). By creating an account, signing in, or using the Service in any way, you agree to these Terms. If you're a guard using the app on behalf of a security agency, these Terms apply to you as well as to the agency that set up your account.
2. Who we serve
Synctillate is built for DGR-sponsored private security agencies operating in India, and the guards they employ. An agency creates an admin account, then onboards its own guards into the platform — a guard cannot sign up on their own; their account is created by their employer.
3. Accounts and responsibility
- Agency admins are responsible for the accuracy of the data they enter or upload — guard records, attendance, payroll figures, client and billing details — and for keeping their login credentials confidential.
- Guards are responsible for the accuracy of the personal details they submit through the guard app, and for not sharing their login with anyone else.
- An agency admin is responsible for everything done under their organization's account, including actions taken by any staff they've given access to.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to store or submit information you don't have the right to hold (for example, another person's identity documents without their knowledge).
- Attempt to access another agency's data, or any account that isn't yours.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service's normal operation.
- Use the live location, attendance, or communication features to monitor or contact anyone outside the ordinary employment relationship between an agency and its guards.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that violates applicable Indian labour, data-protection, or DGR/PSARA regulations.
5. Subscriptions and billing
Synctillate is offered on a per-guard subscription basis, as shown on an agency's own Plan & Billing page at the time of signup. Fees are billed to the agency, not to individual guards. An agency can review its current plan and billing history inside the admin portal. Continued use of the Service after a plan or price change means you accept the updated terms for that plan.
6. Your data
You (the agency) retain ownership of the data you and your guards put into Synctillate. We process it strictly to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. We don't claim ownership of your business records, and we don't sell your data or your guards' data to anyone.
7. Statutory and compliance documents
Synctillate generates payroll, GST, EPFO/ESIC, and other statutory documents based on the data an agency enters. These are tools to help an agency do its own compliance work faster and more accurately — they don't substitute for an agency's own legal or statutory responsibility to file correctly, on time, and in accordance with applicable law. An agency remains responsible for reviewing generated documents before relying on or filing them.
8. Service availability
We aim to keep Synctillate available and reliable, but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without guaranteeing it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. Features that depend on a guard's own phone (GPS location, notifications) also depend on that device having power, signal, and location permission enabled.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Synctillate is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service — including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption — except where such liability cannot be excluded under applicable Indian law.
10. Termination
An agency admin can stop using the Service and close their account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, or that we reasonably believe poses a security risk to the Service or to other agencies' data. On termination, data is retained only as long as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to these terms
We'll update the date at the top of this page whenever these Terms change, and post the revised version here. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute arising from them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
